Like everybody else in Charlotte, Jeremy Markovich is from Ohio. He moved here six years ago to work for WCNC-TV, where he now subsidizes his beer exploration by working as the special projects producer. He also produces Panthers GameDay.
Jeremy is a regular contributor to Charlotte magazine, where his first piece about a blind hiker won several national awards. He also writes for Our State. Sometimes, he works as a raft guide at the U.S. National Whitewater Center, where he gets to yell at paddlers.
Jeremy and his wife Kelsey both live near SouthPark. He would just love it if you bought his condo.
About This Site
This place, deftlyinane.com, grew out of a couple of so-so attempts to write stuff and have people notice it. When I was in West Virginia, I had a GeoCities page where I published some things. I once wrote about a particularly bad batch of poison ivy I got after I fell down a levee. Now, GeoCities is gone. Coincidence?
But some people liked my old site and read it, so I started this place up a few years after I moved to Charlotte. I update it in erratic spurts, because I am surprisingly busy. Also, some legitimate publishers are sometimes interested in what I have to say, which is weird, because sometimes Kelsey isn't interested in what I have to say (e.g. Star Wars). I am trying to aggregate all of my writing here with links and whatnot.
What I put here is my own, and doesn't represent the opinions of my employers. My employers are all wonderful people. Just wonderful, I tell you.
